Friends of Starkweather Creek are among many local groups who provide year-round nature events organized by “Friends of Urban Nature.” Our activities are generally on the 3rd Saturday of each month:

Friends of Urban Nature is a partnership of public, private and volunteer groups collaborating on initiatives for Nature Recreation, Nature Education, Natural Health, and Nature Restoration. The goal is to help the public and families and kids in particular to enjoy welcoming, equitable, access to nearby nature with regularly scheduled weekly events. The year round nature outings in nearby parks and natural areas, allow participants to connect with local nature groups, and build support for urban natural areas, birds and wildlife.
